I-485 at VSC…RFE

Can someone please tell me how long does it take for INS to approve a case once all documents have been submitted after an RFE. Here are my details.

Reciept Date: Sep 20, 2001
Notice Date: Nov 19, 2001

RFE : Oct 23, 2002 (this year)
Documents for RFE sent back and received by INS on : Nov 01, 2002

When I checked my case online I saw the following message :

On November 01, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete before we requested the additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 540 days. You will receive a written decision on this case.
Does this mean that I have to wait for another 540 days?

what was the quesry in REF?

I guess you will received your result (positive) in 30 to 45 days after Nov. 1st.. but what was the ref for?

RFE - docs requested

The RFE was for:
* Latest Paystubs
* Letter from employer confirming that I am still employed

Please let me know if you or any of your friends had recieved an approval after a RFE and how long it took for them to get the same.

have you heard anything after you submit your RFE? My brother also just got an RFE (don't know what it's for yet), so I am curious how long the process take after RFE. Thank you.
